The Manager of Display Design will lead the engineering team responsible for the end-to-end development of high-reliability, ruggedized display systems for Defense and Aerospace applications. This role requires a blend of technical mastery in display technologies (LCD, LED, NVIS) and strategic project management to deliver mission-critical hardware.
Key Responsibilities:

System Architecture: Lead the design and development of ruggedized multi-function displays (3" to 20") for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft, as well as naval consoles.
Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of custom high-brightness LED backlights, backlight drivers, and optical lamination for NVIS (Night Vision Imaging System) compatibility.
Standards Compliance: Ensure all designs meet stringent military and aerospace standards, including MIL-STD-810G (environmental), MIL-STD-461G (EMI/EMC), and DO-178C/DO-254 for safety-critical hardware.
Video Processing: Supervise the conversion and processing of video signals such as STANAG 3350 Class B/C, RS170, and DVI/VGA for overlaying graphics and symbology.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with the PCB design, mechanical (bezel design), and software teams to ensure seamless system integration and thermal management.

Technical Skills:

Expertise in FPGA-based video processing and high-speed digital board design (VPX, VME, cPCI).
Hands-on experience with optical bonding, touch screen integration, and ruggedization techniques for extreme temperatures and vibration.
Proficiency in CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout review.

Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Indian Defense ecosystem (DRDO, HAL, ISRO) and indigenous product development.

Preferred Attributes:

Strong understanding of AS9100D quality management systems.
Proven track record of managing complex programs with short turnaround times.
Excellent communication skills for technical presentations to senior management and MoD stakeholders.
