Qualifications : BE/B.Tech in ECE, EEE, E&I, or equivalent; an MBA in Marketing is highly preferred.
Experience:13 to 16+ years in sales and marketing within the Defense and Aerospace domain (seniority depends on the specific level).
Role Overview
As an International Sales & Marketing Manager, you will drive global growth for Data Patterns' indigenously developed electronic systems.
You will be responsible for identifying international market opportunities, building relationships with global defense organizations, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle—from lead generation to order closure—across diverse geographies.
Key Responsibilities
Global Market Expansion :
Identify and enter new international markets, focusing on regions with high demand for defense electronics and aerospace systems.
Strategic Lead Generation :
Cultivate leads with foreign defense ministries, aerospace companies, and international organizations. Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term partnerships with international clients, agents, and distributors.
Proposal & Bid Management :
Lead the development of competitive technical and commercial quotations for international tenders.
Product Promotion :
Present high-tech solutions such as Radars, Electronic Warfare suites, and Avionics to global stakeholders. Compliance & Export Control: Ensure all marketing and sales activities adhere to international trade regulations and export compliance
Corporate Brand Building :
Represent the company at international defense expos and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility.
Domain Knowledge :
Strong understanding of Radar, EW, Fire Control systems , Fundamentals of Electronics , and modern defense procurement policies.
Intercultural Competence :
Ability to navigate diverse cultural nuances and business ethics across different countries.
Negotiation :
Proven record in complex contract negotiations and closing high-value deals.
Network and Liason :
Should have built a strong network with key influential people in Defence and related ministries and govt . Should possess excellent liason skills
International Regions: Europe(Italy, Spain, Germany, France), UK, South Korea, Brazil, Japan, Canada, USA and other regions in Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam) and Africa (South Africa & Egypt)
Local Citizen:
Already employed in the Defence industries in Radar/EW/ Avionics or any other defence electronics domain
Retired from the senior post from a reputed strategic electronics company
Knowledge of local industry and high standing with leaders / decision makers with the local OEM.
