Qualification:  ME - Industrial Safety Engineering with 7–9 years of experience in safety
Prescribed under Tamil Nadu Factories (Safety officer ) rules 2005

Skill Set:

Overall responsibility to ensure Health & Safety of operations.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and for providing assurance of compliance through audit and gap assessment.
Set standards for meeting the operational skill of all personnel and manage assessments, gap analysis, and training requirements

Scope Of Work:

• Develop, implement and review health and safety policies and procedures.
• Review and continuously update the Safety Standards for all the processes
• Conduct regular shop floor Safety audits and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop and audit the H&S Management system, compliance and SOPs in production process to deliver consistent results to best safety standards
• Review H&S trainings and support in preparation of training / assessment planners
• Fire Protection – Periodic monitoring system
• Ensuring 100% compliance towards Legal requirements
• Build the Safety culture among employees
• Ensure emergency preparedness level and improve existing conditions
• H&S Training and support for implementation
• Analysis of incident investigations and their horizontal deployment across the sites
• Periodic inspection of both fire protection and fire prevention systems
• Legal requirements follow-up
• Regular H&S reviews with department managers, zone coordinators and site managers
• Implement and ensure safety systems and develop action plans for improvement
• Periodical review of Risk Assessment, PTW, and SOPs Key Activities
• Assigned area – DP chennai site /Branches
• Follow-up tasks
• Walkthrough,
• identify near misses/unsafe Act /Unsafe conditions.
• TaRA( task Based activity risks), FRA( Fire risk assessment)
• Conduct Mock drills /fire safety drills.
• Train continiously the IRT team members on their roles.
• Incidents review, corrective actions
• Follow up Safety Commottee Meeting, Management Review meeting requirements.
• Review and approving the permit to work system – Height work and non-routine work permits.
• Review and Monitoring of Onboarding / Refresher training program requirements.
• Review and Monitoring CCTV.
• Review and monitoring the compliance and customer audit.
• Coordinating and Monitoring Behaviour Based Safety (BBS), 6S programs
• Review Commuting / shuttle bus actions.
• Generating weekly & monthly reports.
• Review and approve the MSA ( Machine safety analysis) & follow-up actions in site
• Contractor management (Training & Meeting) Follow up
