The DP-VME-5031 is a VME based Resolver to Digital & Digital to Resolver Converter Module. It is widely used in Flight Instrumentation, Military Servo Control, Artillery Fire Control, Axis Transformation systems and many more applications. It features software programmable resolution in the range of 10, 12, 14 or 16 bit for measurement channels and resolution of 16 bit for stimulus channels.
DP-VME-5031 module has four Resolver to Digital measurement channels. It accepts the Resolver inputs and converts it into 16 bit parallel TTL/CMOS compatible digital data. The input operating frequency is in the range of DC to 10 KHz. This converter provides the Encoder output signal and this buffered signal can be interfaced to the field.
DP-VME-5031 provides six Digital to Resolver stimulus channels. Digital to Resolver converter converts the digital angle data from host in to the analog form in Resolver format. The output power up to 2VA is available from this converter. Loss of reference indication and over current protection is provided for stimulus part on this module.
The Synchro signals can be interfaced to convert in to Resolver format using a Scott T transformer for measurement. Using appropriate rating transformer different Resolver voltage and frequency signal can be interfaced and also isolation transformer can be connected for isolation if needed.
The module is supplied with software drivers for operating systems such as VxWorks, Linux, Lynx on request.
