The DP-IP-3084 is a 48 Channel Digital Input/Output Type II IP module. It is widely used in Data Acquisition applications, Automatic Test Equipments. This is a singe slot IP module with very high MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure). DP-IP-3084 can be used on any hardware platforms like cPCI, VME, VXI and PCI using carrier boards.
The module can accept TTL/CMOS level input voltages. The 48 channels are grouped into six numbers of eight channels each. Each group of eight channels can be programmed for unique debounce time from 1 microsecond to 16.77 seconds in binary steps.
The input channels are configurable to generate as "LOW TRUE" or "HIGH TRUE" interrupts through software.
The output channels in group of eight channels are programmable as an out put group. The host writes data into a primary latch and subsequently data is driven to output lines with the TTL buffers through secondary latch. The secondary latch can be updated out at the group level or for all the 8 channels simultaneously.
Each channel can be tested independently using the Built-In-Self-Test feature without any external circuit. The test is carried out group wise and written data on output port of each group is read back through the input port.
The module is supplied with device drivers and self test software under Windows 2000 and VxWorks.
